These are the release notes for August 9th, 2023.

🚀 FEATURES 🚀

  • All environments (Gen1/Gen2)
    • 🥳 🔌 CONNECTORS CONNECTORS CONNECTORS! 🔌 🥳
      • Ascend is releasing 200+ Connection Types in Private Preview this week. You read that right folks!!
      • Connectors will appear grayed out and marked as "PREVIEW".
      • Contact Ascend Support to have us enable a specific connection for your environment.
      • More to come on this amazing new addition as we continue to streamline the experience for you!
  • Ascend Cloud
    • We now offer Vanity Hostnames for Enterprise Tier customers on Ascend Hosted Cloud!
      • You can customize your subdomain (e.g. supercool.cloud.ascend.io) – because custom is cool! 😎
      • Contact Ascend Support to request a Vanity Hostname if you are an eligible customer!

✨ ENHANCEMENTS ✨

  • All environments (Gen1/Gen2)
    • Observe Timeline View now has an additional "Color by" labeled "Status" in the dropdown box, which colors jobs based on SUCCESS or FAILURE statuses.
      • This gives you another way to visualize the sequence of events that occurred in your pipelines and the resulting status of the jobs that ran.

🔧 BUGFIXES 🔧

  • All environments (Gen1/Gen2)
    • Fix a bug where the Credential entry form might break when trying to save without supplying a credential name.
    • Fix sporadic "KeyError: 'endpoint_resolver'" error affecting Databricks connections.
    • Fix intermittent SFTP Socket Closed error.
