Private Network Peering

Description

Private Network Peering is a highly available, high throughput method of connecting customer-owned private cloud networks to your Ascend environment, often used to access highly sensitive data stores where a public-facing endpoint like an SSH or VPN Gateway may not be suitable.

Private Network Peering provides the following benefits:

  • Extremely reliable
  • Extremely high throughput

Private Network Peering comes with the following complexity:

  • The customer must bring their own network for Ascend to run in (due to the complexity of operating peers between networks owned by separate entities, Ascend can not manage your private peering connections for you)
